In 2007 Camp Asbury celebrated 50 years of camp and retreat ministry!

Since Camp Asbury’s beginnings in 1957 as an outdoor ministry site for the Akron and Youngstown Districts, children and youth have experienced summer camp as first-timers and returning campers.  In the seasons of autumn, winter, and spring, you have participated in life-shaping retreats at Asbury.

Today Camp Asbury is fifty and going strong.  Asbury continues to be a place where children, youth and adults deepen their relationship with God by connecting with the wonder and beauty of creation and living in a community where caring for others and giving thanks to God are paramount.  Asbury today is a destination to which people travel to grow and polish practical leadership skills.  For many persons Asbury has become a home away from home, a place of warm hospitality and welcome.
