WELCOME TO ALDERSGATE SUMMER CAMP 2008

Since 1997, when I started at Camp
Aldersgate, I’ve discovered hundreds of reasons why
Camp
Aldersgate is a great place for kids of all ages. I
could list statistics, research findings, personal
observations, etc. to prove that a positive summer camp
experience is vital for every kid. And Aldersgate is
that positive summer experience for the thousands of
campers I’ve seen come through this place. I could tell
you that our camper returning ratio is higher than the
national average and copious amounts of other facts. Of
course I can, but I’m the Camp Director, and Camp
Aldersgate is what I eat, breathe and sleep all year.
Instead, I’d like to share with you what a few of our
parents have to say about Aldersgate - what we’ve done
for them, and more importantly, for their kids. Until
we meet this summer at Aldersgate, may God be with you.
“We just want to say thank
you to you for doing such a wonderful job putting
everything together so that it allows the kids to
get an experience in life that no one else can give
them."
“She had a really great time and wants to go back
for another camp this summer!”
“My daughter fell in love with Camp Aldersgate. If
she could live there for the entire summer I think
she would. She made great friends, learned wonderful
lessons, and really gave her all to every
experience. My 3yr old son even enjoyed our drop off
and pick up stops. He had a great time bowling with
a counselor, checking out the lake, and getting to
walk through the new labyrinth.”
“My child said it was a great time. The camp renewed
the spirit within. Thank you!”
“According to the way my child talked the activities
were well balanced.”
“The staff seemed to really care about the children
there, as they do every year.”
“This is my child’s fourth year at Aldersgate and
she loves it every time. She loved the counselors so
much that she wants to be a CIT next year if at all
possible.”
“My child had such a positive experience that he was
homesick for camp this morning, and wants to make
this a priority to attend MADD camp next year.”
“My daughter spoke of the time of sharing before
each meal. Also, the closing ceremony was rewarding
for the whole family.”
“A great week. The staff was great dealing with the
storm etc. The experience of church camp influenced
the boys in a very positive experience. Talked about
their bible studies etc, dealing with their every
day life. The boys are already looking at the
booklet to think about next year. Thank you!! You are
changing lives!”
“She loved Tree House explorers, and wishes she would
have been there for a week!”
