Howard Humphress

Howard is an ordained United Methodist Elder and member of East Ohio Conference, a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors

Howard received a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and completed his M. Div. and D. Min. work at Lexington Theological Seminary (KY). He has had post-graduate training in Clinical Pastoral Education, Pastoral Psychotherapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy.

Howard was a pastoral counselor for eleven years at Methodist Evangelical Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky prior to moving to East Ohio. He has also served as hospital chaplain, chaplain of residential treatment of delinquent adolescents, director of young adult and family ministry for a large metropolitan church, and as a church pastor.

Howard and his wife, Sandy moved to Canton in November 1991 when he joined the program as Associate Director. They have a blended family of four adult children and are also grandparents.
