Jessica Vargo, CPA

Jessica Vargo is the treasurer for the East Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church.  She has 15 years experience in accounting, finance, tax and benefits administration.  She oversees the treasurer’s office, which is responsible for budgeting, apportionments, healthcare and pension, program support, loans, and equitable compensation.   She acts as counsel to many areas but significantly to the Council of Finance and Administration and Conference Board of Pensions.  She also provides education and support to local church pastors, treasurers, and committees on finance.

Vargo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Kent State University and is a licensed certified public accountant.  She was a partner of a local accounting firm prior to coming to the East Ohio Conference in March of 2002.

She and her husband Matt are the parents of two daughters.
