The Rev. Paul White is the director of Connectional Ministries for the East Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church. Paul has served as a local church pastor, 1974-1986; associate director of the East Ohio Conference Council on Ministries, 1986-1997; and superintendent of the Painesville District of the East Ohio Conference, 1997-2002.
While serving as an Associate Director of the Conference Council on Ministries Paul helped the youth of East Ohio begin Youth Jam which is now attended by approximately 5,000 young persons. He was also very instrumental in beginning a conference-wide singles ministry and assisted in the establishment of the East Ohio Conference Young Adult Council. Paul has served as the East Ohio Conference Benevolent Funding Coordinator and continues to work with the Benevolent Funding as Director of Connectional Ministries.
Rev. White holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Mount Union College and a Master of Divinity degree from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio. The 2003 East Ohio Annual Conference elected him as a General and Jurisdictional Conference delegate. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Methodist Theological School in Ohio, the East Ohio Conference Credit Union Board of Directors, and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Board of Ohio Campus Ministry. |
