Catherine Ake

Catherine L. Ake served New London and Vienna UMCs. Highlights of ministry include serving communion, helping people find hope, Bible studies that led to new understanding, preaching and spending time with youth. Will be living in Hubbard, OH and retirement plans include waiting on God for new directions.

Keith Bohley

Keith P. Bohley served Waltz, Elyria Vincent, Oak Chapel and Fredericktown UMCs. Highlights of ministry include serving wonderful people committing their lives to Christ, healings both physical and spiritual, and preaching. Will be living in Medina, OH and retirement plans include travel, expansion of orchard, reading and fellowship time with family.

Donald Booth Donald H. Booth served Lowellville/Marion Hts., Byesville Main, Windham, North Lima, Bunker Hill, Akron Faith Redeemer and Deerfield & Palmyra UMCs. Highlights of ministry include hospital visitation, healing ministry, preaching, Bible studies and cooking for banquets. Will be living in Diamond, OH and retirement plans include part-time pastor of Palmyra UMC, travel, fly fishing and time with grandkids.
Ruthann Bosley Ruthann Bosley served Asbury/Sandyville UMCs. Highlights of ministry include sharing joys and sorrows with congregations, studying, preaching, teaching and seeing lives changed and serving on boards and agencies in the conference and in the community. Will be living in Massillon, OH and retirement plans include perhaps serving as a part-time pastor, teaching and speaking at retreats and time with family.
John Butchko John Butchko served South Amherst, Berea Children's Home, Milan Edison Memorial, Avon, Brunswick and Westlake UMCs. HIghlights of ministry include experiencing and proclaiming the grace of Christ and grasping a bit of how exciting stewardship can be. Will be living in Cleveland, OH and retirement plans include working as an evangelist.
John Clark John W. Clark served New Cumberland/Dover Faith/Crooked Run, Malvern, Canton Simpson, Uhrichsville First and Dennison Good Shepherd. Highlights of ministry include misson trips and teaching. Will be living in New Philadelphia, OH and retirement plans include teaching and flight instruction.
Jeffrey Corbett Jeffrey R. Corbett served Bulah/Plymouth, Sebring, Beverly and Aldersgate UMCs.
James Cox James J. Cox served Strongsville, Chapel Hill, Crestview Parish: Franklin/Adario, Streetsboro, Vermilion Grace and Ashland Christ. Highlights of ministry include equipping people for the worship of God, music, growing the faith of youth and service projects. Will be living in Trenton, MI and retirement plans include time with family and more time playing music.
Dan Drew Daniel Drew served South Vernon, Nottingham, Utica, Garfield Heights, Cleveland/North Coast District superintendent and Chardon UMCs. Highlights of ministry include serving congregations in both urban and rural settings. Will be living in Lorain, OH and retirement plans include continuing to serve on boards of agencies and travel.
Wendy Erb Wendy J. Erb served Sand Hill UMC. Highlights of ministry include witnessing God's movement in people's lives and bringing them to acceptance of Christ. Will be living in Marietta, OH and retirement plans include volunteering as a chaplain and spending time with family.
Patricia Fruth Patricia A. Fruth served Oceola/Plankton/Lemert and Iberia/Sixteen UMCs. Highlights of ministry include mucic, ecumenical groups, Bible studies and showing and giving Christ to others. Will be living in Galion, OH and retirement plans include time with family and pulpit fill if time allows.
Margaret Garner Margaret A. Garner served Mineral City and East Sparta UMCs. Will be living in Waynesburg, OH.
Russell Garvin Russell R. Garvin served Dundee UMC. Highlights of ministry include after-school programs and mission trips. Will be living in Mineral City, OH and retirement plans include time for family and friends, hobbies and ministry opportunities.
Gary Glasscock Gary W. Glasscock served Sycamore and Lake Brady UMCs. Highlights of ministry include seeing people grow in faith, confirmation classes, baptisms and weddings and sharing in the life of the congregation. Will be living in Chardon, OH and retirement plans include travel, car restoration, serving the Lord and time with grandchildren.
Thurman Harmon Thurman E. Harmon served East Union/Macksburg/Dexter City/Mary Reed Memorial UMCs. Highlights of ministry include baptisms and helping the churches to grow in membership. Will be living in Caldwell, OH and retirement plans include travel and perhaps ministry in a small church.
Millissa Hartson Millissa K. Hartson served Perrysville UMC. Highlights of ministry include watching deeping relationships with God, youth and women's ministries growth, food banks and mission outreach. Will be living in Mansfield, OH and retirement plans include time to assist aging parents and time with grandchildren.
Rebecca Innerst Rebecca Innerst served Alliance Union Avenue UMC. Highlights of ministry include ministry to children and youth, helping with the Order of Deacons and support of family. Will be living in Beloit, OH and retirement plans include community volunteer work, children's ministry, knitting, sewing and time with family.
Gerald Kalb Gerald D. Kalb served Howard, Windham, Cleveland Brooklyn Memorial, Mt. Gilead and Painesville UMCs. Highlights of ministry include a ministerial exchange program and the journey of ministry through sharing God's love. Will be living in Painesville, OH and retirement plans include traveling, community theatre, writing and spending time with family.
Charles Kaliszewski Charles R. Kaliszewski served South Euclid-Hillcrest and Rittman UMCs. Highlights of ministry include starting contemporary services, rebuilding awareness of mission work and working with campus ministry. Will be living in Mount Pleasant, MI and retirement plans include fishing, family time and campus ministry.
Robert King Robert R. King served Pleasant Valley and Pleasant Valley/Deersville UMCs. Highlights of ministry include visitation with church members. Will be living in Carrollton, OH and retirement plans include time with family, travel, working in the garden, fishing and boating.
Raymond Kovach Raymond J. Kovach served Land of Lakes Charge, Coshocton Grace, East Conneaut, Camp Asbury, Akron Woodland and Clyde First UMCs. Highlights of ministry include youth ministry, building projects, outreach ministries, and development of new ministries. Will be living in Altoona, PA and retirement plans include travel, working on house, baseball games, golfing and volunteer work.
David Kowaleski David J. Kowaleski served Trinway/Prospect, Keene, Alliance Christ, Orrville Trinity and Dover First UMCs. Highlights of ministry include building additions, reading programs, ecumenical service projects, serving on agency boards and mission work camps. Will be living in North Canton, OH and retirement plans include time with family, other avenues of ministry, travel and whittling down a bucket list.
Donald Lare Donald W. Lare served Dellroy/Leavittsville, Rootstown and Elyria Community UMCs. Highlights of ministry include preaching, teaching and living a life of integrity, and helping churches increase stewardship levels. Retirement plans include time with family, and involvement with a local church.
Susan Lausch Susan L. Lausch served Wooster, Conneaut Lakeview, Minerva, Cuyahoga Falls and Lexington Church of the Cross UMs. Highlights of ministry include teaching confirmation classes, Bible studies, mission trips and serving on conference committees. Will be living in Brunswick, OH and retirement plans include time with family and publishing stories written over the years.
Sara Macdonald Sarah N. Macdonald served Berlin Hts. Parish, Braceville, Canton Church of the Savior, Uhrischsville First, Pleasant Hills and Woodlawn. Highlights of ministry include taking teens to youth annual conference, Biblical storytelling, supporting food pantries and mission work. Will be living in Shelby, OH and retirement plans include waiting for God's voice.
Thomas Matus Thomas D. Matus served McZena Hope, Fresno/Baltic/Orange, Mt. Carmel, Columbia, Galion First, Fitchville and Mt. Ephriam Senecaville. Highlights of ministry include building projects and helping to merge churches. Retirement plans include time with family, travel and participation in Walk to Emmaus.
Yvonne Matus Yvonne R. Matus served Bethlehem/Byesville Trininty/Derwent UMCs. Highlights of ministry include baptisms. Retirement plans family time and travel.
Diane McCartney Diane McCartney served Bigelow/Lakeville Charge UMCs. Highlights of ministry include starting Sunday school classes, improving church facilities and working with food pantries. Will be living in Holmesville, OH and retirement plans include travel, continuing prison ministry, teaching and volunteer work at food pantries.
David McKinnon David J. McKinnon served Dennison Grant Street, Amity/Ebenezer, Orwell/Windsor, Edison, Barnesville First, Smith Corners and Kinsman UMCs. Highlights of ministry include organizing community crusades, praying with people and sharing the highs and lows of life. Retirement plans include writing, music ministry, time with family and finding new ways to serve the Lord.
Gary Miller Gary W. Miller served Canfield, Mineral Ridge, Alliance Salem/New Franklin, Waterford Charge, New Washington Charge, Mansfield Main Street and Williamsport. Will be living in Bellville, OH and retirement plans include serving as principal and administrator at a Christian school.
Craig A. Redecker served Brunswick, Shreve, New Concord, Poland and Coshocton Grace UMCs. Highlights of ministry include confirmation programs, youth mission trips, stablizing and growth in churches, renovations and increasing stewardship. Will be living in New Concord, OH and retirement plans include building new home, travel, time with family and serving as God calls.

Richard D. Smith served Polk/Mt. Pleasant, Jewett, Hopewell/Rayland/Yorkville and Brimfield Faith UMCs and in extension ministry. Highlights of ministry include assisting candidates to become licensed counselors. Will be living in Atwater, OH and retirement plans include spending time with family, hobbies, reading, writing and serving Christ daily.

Becki Bowan Verbridge served Hathaway, Boardman Lockwood, LaPorte, Milan Edison Memorial, Warren First and Copley UMCs. Will be living in Copley, OH and retirement plans include serving as an interim ministry specialist and enjoying more time with family.

James Willson James H. Willson served Asbury Greater Parish, Sugar Grove and Pine Grove UMCs. Highlights of ministry include education, helping people to see Jesus and glorifying God. Will be living in Toronto, OH and retirement plans include time with family and pets, continue as a retired local pastor.
Charles Yoost Charles D. Yoost served Northampton, Church Hill, Mansfield District superintendent and Church of the Saviour UMs. Highlights of ministry include misson work trips, being with people in crisies, building projects, Lakeside Institute and serving on boards and agencies. Will be living in Shaker Heights, OH and retirement plans include time with family and friends, preaching opportuntities, writing and possibly teaching.
