David J. Bardou served Rockport and Cleveland Trinity UMCs.

Will be living in Rocky River, OH and retirement plans include time with family, involvement with Habitat for Humanity, travel, coaching and outdoor sports.



Sharon C. Carson

Sharon Carson

Sharon R. Carson served St. Andrew Cooperative Parish, Brecksville, Boardman First, Boardman Lockwood, Dalton, Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, chaplain, Valley Lutheran Retirement Services and Guardian Angel Hospice.

Highlights of ministry include: leading worship in a variety of settings, pastoral care as a chaplain, confirmation and new member classes, Bible studies, after school programs and advocacy work.

Will be living in Boardman, OH and retirement plans include time with family, enjoying farm in Jefferson County, travel, working on genealogy and volunteer work.

Kenneth W. Chalker served Lexington Church of The Cross, Alliance Union Ave., First Church Cleveland and University Circle (merger of First Church Cleveland and Epworth Euclid) UMCs.

Highlights of ministry include parish ministry and serving on conference and general church committees. 

Will be living in Westlake, OH and retirement plans include serving as pastor at University Circle UMC.

David T. Clarke served Poland, Sand Hill, Alliance Salem, Palmyra, Bellevue Seybert, Attica, chaplain Stein Hospice and Clarksfield UMCs. 

Highlights of ministry include a sense of joy and privilege to be able to guide people towards a relationship with God. 

Will be living in Norwalk, OH and retirement plans include spending time with family and time with God.

Nancy S. Hull served Green Springs, Ashtabula Lake Ave., Bloomville/Republic Trinity Charge, Simpson and Flat Rock Homes and Care Center.

Highlights of ministry include starting new outreach ministries, establishing a reconciling congregation and serving on boards and agencies of the conference. 

Will be living in Sullivan, OH and retirement plans include no more meetings, family time, reading, travel, resting and writing.

Highlights of ministry include church growth, building repairs and upgrades and working with civic groups utilizing the church. 

Will be living in Bowerston, OH and retirement plans include travel, bike riding, gardening and pulpit supply.

Charles R. Kirkpatrick served Barnesville First, McDonaldsville St. Paul and Crystal Park/North Industry/Werner UMCs.

Highlights of ministry include Bible studies, small group studies, youth/children’s ministry, healing services and serving on conference committees.

Will be living in Massillon, OH and retirement plans include family and fishing.

James S. Macdonald served Sparta, Youngstown Mahoning, Cambridge Faith, Norwich/Salem/Sonora, Pricetown, Saybrook, Coshocton Park, Canal Lewisville, Atwater and Shelby First.

Highlights of ministry include working with youth, feeding ministries and serving on conference and district committees.

Retirement plans include continuing to serve in parish ministry.

Robert J. Machovec served Kent, Chesterland Trinity, Fairview Grace, Rocky River, Columbia and Parma Good Shepherd UMCs.

Highlights of ministry include mission trips, Emmaus & Chrysalis teams, leading retreats, small groups, Bible studies and mentoring candidates for ministry.

Will be living in Lakewood, OH and retirement plans include worship with family and being open to ministry beyond the local church.

David E. Mansberger served Otsego, Belmont East Parish, Hannibal Clarington Parish, Wesley Chapel and Center UMCs.

Highlights of ministry include community involvement, cooperative parish ministry and serving on district and conference committees.

Retirement plans include working with the Boy Scouts and persons with developmental disabilities and home property maintenance.

Highlights of ministry include the privilege of being in ministry.

Will be living in Huron, OH and retirement plans include kicking back and relaxing and to see what God has in mind.

Michael A. Namy served Zion Chapel, Bunker Hill, Canton Zion, Cuyahoga Falls First, Greensburg, East Fairfield, Ashland First and Ashland Christ UMCs.

Highlights of ministry include preaching, pastoral care, administering the sacraments and leading worship.

Will be living in Ashland, OH and retirement plans include sailing, travel, running and photography.

Highlights of ministry include working with Zoe Ministry and Royal Family Kid’s Camp, writing curriculum and offering pastoral care.

Retirement plans include continuing ministry with prayer and small group curriculum.

David K. Powell served Tiffin Harmony, Midvale/Newport charge and Flushing/Bannock charge.

Highlights of ministry include working with children and building upgrades.

Will be living in Newport, OR area.

Highlights of ministry include helping churches to pay 100% apportionments and community outreach.

Will be living in Elyria, OH and retirement plans include camping, family and ham radio operaton.

Highlights of ministry include serving with the saints, serving on confernce boards, church remodeling, child care programs and mission trips.

Will be living in North Canton, OH and retirement plans include time with family and hobbies of photography and astronomy.

Will be living in Southington, OH and retirement plans include continuing in ministry to Williamsfield UMC.

Highlights of ministry include numerical and leadership growth in churches, establishing outreach ministry and serving on conference committees.

Will be living in Colorado Springs, CO and retirement plans include caring for grandchildren, resuming hobbies and ministry with those in poverty.

Debra J. Speer served Richard Brown Memorial, Bennetts Corners, Chesterland Trinity, Navarre Otterbein and Jeromesville UMCs. 

Highlights of ministry were the joys and challenges but especially the people. 

Will be living in Dover, OH and retirement plans include time with family, wintering in Florida, writing, painting and publishing and following God’s leading into a new life.

Highlights of ministry include watching people grow in faith and church growth.

Will be living in East Liverpool, OH and retirement plans include serving the Lord, travel, winters in N. Carolina and time with family and friends

Highlights of ministry include developing new outreach ministries and growing children’s ministry programs.

Will be living in Storm Lake, IA and retirement plans include caring for parents, time with family and friends, time in nature, writing and traveling.

Daniel P. Wilson served Adamsville, Sandyville/Asbury, Crystal Park/North Industry, North Robinson/Leesville, Fowler, Champion Otterbein and Fowler, Chesterville and Harmony Chapel.

Highlights of ministry include mission trips and community events.

Retirement plans include time with grandchildren and part-time work.
