Black Theologian Day

Christian Washington, managing director of REAL Coaching, Inc. of Houston, Texas will be the guest theologian from 9:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. at the Aldersgate UMC in Warrensville.   Reservations for this day are required and must be made by May 2 at sgriffin@eocumc.com or (800) 831-3972, ext. 132.  Washington started REAL Coaching in 2004 as the first “rapid solutions” consulting practice that focuses on faith-based and non-profit organizations.  Washington worked for The WildWorks Group  as a lead facilitator.  His work has ranged from complex strategic planning and organizational development, to customer focus groups with a diverse group of corporations and non-profit organizations including World Vision, Campus Crusade for Christ, The Foundation for Community Empowerment (Dallas), and The Willow Creek Association.

Revitalize Your Church through Worship

Learn to design worship to reach your unique mission field, teach worshippers about outreach, build an enduring climate to enhance worship changes, grow worship teams that multiply, encourage a culture of radical hospitality in worship, and coach worshippers toward a personal sense of mission.  This seminar will be held May 16 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. and May 17 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Lakewood UMC, 15700 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107.  Registration is limited to 20 churches.  The lead pastor and the worship leader must attend.  For more information.

Family Rally Day
The Mahoning Valley District wishes to welcome one and all from 2-8PM at Boardman Park (Rt 224 in Boardman, OH).  This is going to be a day packed with guest speakers, games, free food, concerts by Chip Richter, Tia Ciferno and the local Praise Band Eleventh Hour.  We will wrap up the day with an all church worship at 6:30PM.  This event is open to every one of all ages - please plan to join us!  For more information contact PUMC at (330) 757-1553.

Disciple Bible Training

Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm for Disciple I through Disciple IV and Sunday from 2:00pm-6:00pm for Disciple V. These two days of training will equip you to lead all five of the Disciple Bible Studies.  The training event will be led by Rev. Dr. Philip Schroeder, from Disciple Seminars.  Disciple is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders.  The cost will be $50.00 per session (both days are two session and will be $100.00).  Include lunch on Saturday.  Registration is from May 15th -l May 31.  You must register for this training event by notifying (330) 336-6689 or frank@wadsumc.org.  Payment for the training sessions must be made by June30.  Make checks payable to Wadsworth UMC and mail to: Wadsworth UMC, c/o Frank Woodrum, 195 Broad St, Wadsworth Ohio  44281
