Have you always been interested in joining a mission team but don’t know what to do or how to do it? Mission journeys are travels that transform our lives through blessings, dreams and visions of strangers who over time become friends, through beautiful moments and bumpy roads as we answer a call to serve in new places. Do you have a yearning to discover, to experience deep reflections and exhaustion for the hope of being a part the mission story. Educators, medical folks, electricians, handy people, construction workers, pastors, all sorts of folks are needed to build relationships, share the Gospel, and help leave the world better than you found it for the sake of Christ. Remember God does not call the qualified, God qualifies the called. Your skills, prayers, witness, personality, and gifts are an answer to someone's prayers.
Here is a list of places where the East Ohio Conference of the UMC is involved. Contact the person about the place that grabs your heart and curiosity and see what worlds will open up for you! If you have a general question about anything on these pages, please contact Kathy Dickriede.
Go ahead, say a prayer for courage, be brave, take a risk and contact someone today!

While we are not traveling to many of our partner mission sites, this is a way to be connected to our partners by creating a virtual mission experience. It is also a great way for people who traditionally have not had the time or physical ability to go on a mission journey to participate. If you’re interested in organizing your own virtual journey, contact Kathy Dickriede and read these resources from UMVIM.
UMVIM maintains a list of sites that need mission teams. You can find sites for long term disaster recovery projects and other mission sites in the United States and around the world. There are contacts listed for each location if you want more info about a specific site.
