Because of their position, calling and training, clergy are frequently asked to be caregivers by those facing existential, spiritual, and personal crisis. But to whom can the clergy turn in their times of human and spiritual need?
For over 50 years the East Ohio Conference has provided conference pastoral counselors whose services are available as a resource to clergy, full-time church professionals, and their families.
The Program in Pastoral Care and Counseling staff are dedicated to providing the highest standards of client care and continuing education. Our counselors have excellent training and credentials. Our services integrate the resources of faith and behavioral sciences. Our commitment is to help you address your problems and to experience a healthy, productive, and abundant life.
Our counseling is relationally-oriented. We believe wholeness comes through understanding yourself, your family, friends church connections and God. We work closely with clients to examine and improve these relationships.
We honor and will work with you and your unique situation. We are here to serve you not only in times of crisis but also to provide support and encourage wellness. We want your experience with our program to be as secure and comfortable as possible. The counseling services are confidential as provided by state law and professional ethics.
We have two counselors who are equipped with diverse training, experiences, and personal life journeys. Should we be unable to address your needs we will be glad to assist you with alternate resources.
We believe in and are committed to positive change and therefore are hopeful that your concerns can be resolved. Reaching out for professional help can be a crucial step toward healing and wholeness.
