UM Men Fall Gathering

One hundred men from across East Ohio gathered at North Canton Grace UMC for the UMM Fall Gathering. Former Cleveland Indians player and manager Mike Hargrove was the day’s keynote speaker. Hargrove used experiences from the baseball diamond to illustrate the skills he thinks are important in developing good leaders.

Rev. Dr. Gary George led morning worship and was assisted by Rev. Don Richards in serving communion. After two sessions of workshops and the election of UMM cabinet officers, Christian recording artist Jonathan White gave a powerful witness through story and song. There were few dry eyes in the house when Jonathan brought his daughter Brittany to the stage, took her on his lap and sang to her. Brittany was born with Down syndrome. The song celebrates her life and the love she brings to all she meets.
