WESTERN RESERVE DISTRICT
Hello Lay Servants,
It’s training time again. The fall classes will be held at Saybrook UMC September 15th and 16th. We will have Basic class for those new to lay servant ministries and for those needing to renew their certification.
The advanced classes are :
Each One a Minister
This is a class on identifying and using our spiritual gifts. This is a required class for those on the Speaker Track, but it is open to all. Knowing and using our spiritual gifts to serve each other and to build up our churches and ministries is important for all of us. Very interesting class.
Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition
This class is structured around John Wesley’s devotional life. It covers prayer, fasting, the Lord’s supper and more. Private devotional time is an important way to build and grow in your faith. This class is a good way to encourage more intimacy with God.
Please share this information with those we may have missed sending notice to and those in your churches who may want to become lay servants and with those who may enjoy simply learning more about faith and growth. Details of registration, cut off dates, etc, will be on the registration form.
See you there!
God is Great!
