Youth Ministry in the Methodist church was birthed in East Ohio, and it remains a vital part of ministry in our area. The mission of The United Methodist Church is to “Make disciples for the transformation of the world.” This mission translates easily into our efforts to introduce teens to Jesus, walk beside them in discipleship, while encouraging them to share their faith. It is our goal to empower teens with skills to be Christian leaders NOW as well as in the FUTURE.
Our goal is to support the local churches by offering opportunities for youth leaders to grow in their faith and in their calling. We do this through retreats, seminars and monthly e-newsletters. The Youth Leaders Network in East Ohio has been formed to support, encourage, train and pray for each other in ministry.
Our Conference Council on Youth Ministries is a strong body of teens and adults who develop opportunities for the local churches to connect through Conference events, including Youth Annual Conference in June.
New Vision for YAC! The Conference Council on Youth Ministry is excited to share their new vision for youth ministry in East Ohio for the coming years. In October, CCYM voted to have a rotation of topics for Youth Annual Conference each year. Find out more!
We are here to connect and serve YOU!
