Welcome to the Mahoning Valley District of the East Ohio Conference

Christ is alive in the ministries of the Mahoning Valley District through:

• embodying that Jesus is everywhere: rural, urban, suburban.
• joining diverse views in common service to Christ and community and exploring together what it means to love God and love neighbor in the Mahoning Valley right now.
• taking literally the commands to feed people and to let the children come. Our churches either host or financially support some kind of food ministry and most seek to love kids with the love of Christ by helping to meet their needs for school supplies, tutoring, clothing, arts, and Jesus.
• trying new things. We’ve started young adult worship services that became churches; merged four congregations to be a new multiethnic church; and are exploring what it means to be a mission center that worships and how we can help with food justice in the cities.
