Book Study – White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity
Weekly study beginning February 5, 2021 and ending March 26, 2021, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
A journey through the book White Too Long by Robert Jones led by Rev. Kelly Brown, Director of Congregational Vitality. Explore the history of white supremacy in the church. The book dives into mainline protestant denominations' close relationship to the Confederacy and white supremacy. Join in this study as a "next step" in the critical conversations that the East Ohio Conference is taking in addressing and standing against racism. This event is open to Clergy only.

Online Training – Intercultural Development Inventory
Monthly training that will take place every third Wednesday of the month beginning January 20, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
How inclusive are we? How do we create an environment that does not ask others to check core aspects of their identity at the door? How good are we at recognizing commonalities and differences? The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a tool that will inform participants how they might grow in their personal intercultural competency. Take this next step of the East Ohio Conference's efforts to stand against racism with Will Jones, Director of Multicultural Vitality. This event is open to Clergy and Laity.
