THREE RIVERS DISTRICT
2020 Three Rivers Mission & Ministry Strategy Team Report
Homes to be considered for our 2016 project. Project 3:12 is 3 Rivers Volunteers for 1 day coming 2gether doing outreach and ministry.
We will focus on the 3R's (Reach out in love, Rebuild homes and lives, Restore hope through relationship) stemming from the message found in 1 Thessalonians 3:12 "And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all people."
The work team will do minor repair projects for homeowners who reside in the Three Rivers District who could not otherwise afford them.Homeowners Applications are available. If you know someone in your community that would benefit from this act of love and service, please share the information with them.
Cost for volunteers is $15/person to cover required liability insurance.
The Three Rivers District Volunteers in Mission (VIM) organizes two mission trips per year.
Two trips were taken by the Three Rivers Volunteers in Missions team in 2019 to CROSS ministries in West Virginia where they repaired floors and built a wheelchair ramp. During the summer of 2019, several churches assisted families in West Lafayette and Coshocton County following unprecedented flooding. A small group of volunteers went to Epworth Mission in Bethesda, OH in September 2019 where they replaced a roof and skirting on one of the cabins. There is still much work to be done at Epworth. Due to the restrictions put in place for COVID19 guidelines no 2020 trips have been planned at this time.
