Pastor Sheena Cameron

Pastor Sheena Cameron is pastor of Mount Pleasant UMC and St. Paul UMC in the North Coast District. She previously served as pastor of Siloam UMC, Smithville UMC, and Mt. Holly UMC in the Greater New Jersey Conference.

She currently serves on the East Ohio Conference Board of Multicultural Vitality and on the North Coast District Committee on Ministry. She is also chairwoman of the board of Culture Restoration Project Delaware, a nonprofit that provides supplemental education to students through arts and chess, serves on the board of the parachurch organization Sikhona, Inc. which provides health and wellness training to churches, is a member of the board of Esperanza in Cleveland, and writes for By Faith Magazine, the exclusive communication vehicle for the 2,500 Black congregations in the United Methodist Church.

Cameron earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield College, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from The College of New Jersey. She is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and implemented her Doctoral project on a trauma-informed care model for churches entitled LIFT AS WE CLIMB at Mt. Pleasant and St. Paul UMCs.

She and her husband the Rev. Gerald Cameron are active in many social justice initiatives.
