Rev. Ed Fashbaugh

Rev. Ed Fashbaugh was appointed director of Connectional Ministries effective July 1, 2021, after serving two years as superintendent of the Three Rivers District.

At the time of his appointment to the Cabinet, Fashbaugh was pastor of Crossroads UMC in Canton, a church birthed from the merger of two churches he served: the former Church of the Savior UMC, to which he was appointed in 2004, and the former St. Paul’s UMC, which he was appointed to also serve in 2012. He has also served North Canton Faith, Garfield Memorial, and Seville UMCs, and was associate Council on Ministries director in the areas of youth, young adult, higher education, and evangelism.

“I have been a follower of Jesus since I was in the ninth grade, and all that I have ever wanted to do was serve Christ and His Church,” Fashbaugh said.

A clergy delegate to the 2000 and the 2004 General and Jurisdictional Conferences, Fashbaugh earned a Bachelor of Arts in History Education from Grove City College (PA), and a Master of Divinity from Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO).

He and his wife Amy are the proud parents of an adult son and an adult daughter.
