The beautiful campus offers opportunities for quiet walks and meaningful conversations with friends and colleagues.
East & West Ohio Conference clergy will meet May 7 at Lakeside Chautauqua for a Coordinated Clergy Session. We will worship together as a covenant community. We will then meet as individual conferences to conduct business regarding clergy character, conference relations, ordination, commissioning, and other matters related to the ordering of ministry, as prescribed by The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church.
For Annual Conference 2026 the Service of Commemoration and the Service of Licensing, Commissioning, Ordination, and Retirement will be held in McGaw Chapel. The 2026 Annual Conference Offering (Fund 9214) will support these three ministries:
Immigration Ministries of Ohio
This ministry provides free or low-cost legal aid services, advocacy, and social support for migrants. It specifically assists those who have fled persecution in their home countries or who have survived human trafficking, domestic violence, child abuse, and other violent crimes. This ministry is supported by the Task Force on United Methodist Immigration Ministries of Ohio.
The Endowment for Theological Education in Africa, Europe, and the Philippines
This ministry provides financial support for theological education in Africa, Europe and the Philippines. United Methodist clergy lead, teach, inspire, comfort, transform, heal, and serve. Their impact is immeasurable. Their responsibilities demand a dynamic, robust, theological education. Yet access to theological education varies greatly across our connection.
The Bishop’s Discretionary Fund enables Bishop Hee-Soo Jung to support critical ministry needs throughout the East Ohio Conference and beyond. Through this fund, countless individuals and communities receive assistance in times of need.
