It is designed to provide information and resources for East Ohio United Methodist congregations and those interested in supporting these churches. THE EAST OHIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM THE USE OF OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE EAST OHIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH’S SERVICES, RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTION ENTERED INTO THROUGH THE EAST OHIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH’S SERVICES, RESULTING FROM LOSS OF, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF A USER’S TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA OR FOR THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLES, EVEN IF THE EAST OHIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH HAD BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants and agents from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of the Terms of Service or your infringement, or infringement by any other user of your account, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity. The Terms of Service will inure to the benefit of The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church’s successors, assigns and licensees.
These Terms of Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio. Any action brought to enforce this agreement or matters related to the site shall be brought in either the state or federal courts of Ohio. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Service to be unenforceable, the remainder to the Terms of Service will continue in full force and effect. These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes and replace all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding such subject matter. Any waiver of any provision of the Terms of Service will be effective only if in writing and signed by The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Privacy
The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church respects your privacy, believes personal information should remain private, and will not disclose or sell personal information to any outside organization for any purpose.
THE EAST OHIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH uses e-mail addresses to communicate conference-wide or urgent news and information.
The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church collects aggregate information (such as information about how many visitors log-on to our sites, the pages they access, etc.). It collects names of clergy, address, website, e-mail addresses, and phone number of its congregations and makes this information public on www.eocumc.com. This information is also published in its print annual Journal. This data is otherwise shared only with Conference Advance ministries.
Copyright Permissions
Except as otherwise expressly permitted under copyright law, you agree not to reproduce, retransmit, disseminate, sell, distribute, publish, broadcast or circulate the information received through eocumc.com to anyone, including, but not limited to, others in the same company or organization, without the express prior written consent of The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Graphics Library
We at www.eocumc.com understand the impact that a well-developed graphic or illustration can make with any print publication or Web site. We are also aware of the time and expense it takes to develop these graphics. The site provides organizational, ministry-related and seasonal graphics/illustrations for use by church organizations free of charge. From time-to-time, we will be adding additional images, so please check back on a regular basis.
Bright Spot Stories Policy
Church or Ministry Bright Spot stories, text, and graphics entered onto the East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church website or e-mailed to the conference office and/or its staff become the property of the East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Permission to reprint Bright Spot stories or any news story on this website not otherwise attributed must be obtained from the Conference Communications office. Send an e-mail to Rick Wolcott to request permission.
The Conference Communications office reserves the right to edit stories before publishing them. The Conference Communications office reserves the right not to publish stories or graphics submitted without providing reason for the decision.
Those who submit Bright Spot stories must obtain the permission of parents or guardians before submitting images or identifying information of any person aged 18 or younger.
Tax-Exempt Status
The East Ohio Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code section 170.
Classified Use Policy
Classified announcements provide East Ohio United Methodists a place to exchange information about opportunities. Anyone may submit an item.

Deleting a Previously Submitted Classified Item
Ads can only be deleted by site administrators. Please contact the East Ohio Annual Conference office with your request for ad removal and one of our site administrators will delete the ad for you.
