Clear, Concise, Consistent Messaging

Effective communication is vital to living into our shared East Ohio Conference vision and spreading the mission and ministries of The United Methodist Church.

The East Ohio Conference Communications office works closely with the bishop, the Cabinet, Area Center staff, Conference and district committees, and local churches to share the news of our ministries in ways that are clear, concise, and consistent.

The Communications office is responsible for:

• disseminating important information to Conference churches.
• increasing awareness of The United Methodist Church in Ohio through media outreach.
• designing, maintaining, and updating the Conference website, www.eocumc.com.
• creating logos for Conference ministries and for Annual Conference sessions.
• producing the every-other-Monday E-news electronic newsletter.
• introducing and integrating into the daily life of the Conference social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, and Flickr.
• educating members on licensing and copyright matters.
• technical production of Annual Conference sessions.
