National Organization on Disability

The National Organization on Disability (NOD) is a private, non-profit organization that promotes the full-participation in all aspects of Americans with disabilities. Today, NOD focuses on increasing employment opportunities for working-age Americans with disabilities who are not employed.

Faith Ability

Faith Ability is an online community focusing on disability and spirituality issues.

Pathways to Promise

Pathways to Promise is an interfaith cooperative of many faith groups. It provides assistance and is a resource center that offers liturgical and educational materials, program models, and a caring ministry for people experiencing a mental illness and their families. The resources are used by local congregations, as well as regional and national staff.

Annual Disability Statistics Compendium

The Annual Disability Statistics Compendium is a web-based tool that pools disability statistics published by various federal agencies together in one place. When working on legislative and other matters relating to persons with disabilities, the Compendium will make it easier to find and use disability statistics.

United Methodist Committee on Deaf & Hard of Hearing

In 1992, the General Conference of the United Methodist Church established the National Committee on Deaf Ministries as a mission initiative (renewed at each General Conference.)

As its mission expanded to include all people with hearing loss, the committee broadened its name to reflect the diversity of the population it represents. It is now known as the United Methodist Committee on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministries or DHM. Along with the UM Committee on Deaf & Hard of Hearing resources from the link above, you may find additional resources here.
