Disciples Evangelize to Produce More Disciples

“The work of evangelism is deeply rooted in discipleship.  We, who are disciples, we evangelize in order to make and to mature disciples.” Bishop Tracy S. Malone shared this Evangelism/Discipleship message during her keynote address at the Tuscarawas District Spring Conference.

“Disciples make disciples.  It’s simple, it’s basic, it’s elementary, it’s fundamental, it’s formational,” she told those gathered at Union Avenue UMC in Alliance.  “To be a disciple of Jesus Christ is to know the love and the calling of God, and to assume the responsibility to evangelizing, telling others that they are deeply loved and forgiven by God.”
