CAMPS AND RETREAT MINISTRIES
Both Camp Asbury and Camp Wanake annually offer Confirmation Retreats in February. The focus is on UM History & Beliefs, the Sacraments, and UM Structure. Participants have the opportunity to answer the question, “Where did the UMC get its start and what are they about?” The weekend includes making new friends, discovering great ways to grow closer to God through practicing spiritual disciplines, and being a part of a creative worship experience.
Watch in the fall – typically September or October - for the announcement of dates for the following February.
Confirmation Day at Camp Asbury
Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $70/youth; $60/adults
Spend a full day at Camp Asbury delving into United Methodist teachings and deepening your faith! This one-day winter retreat will offer introductory sessions on key topics such as What United Methodists Believe, the Sacraments, the Structure of the UMC, Spiritual Disciplines, UM History, and Worship. Camp Asbury provides the perfect setting to reflect on faith while connecting with the beauty of God’s creation. Some sessions will take place outdoors, inviting you to experience God’s presence in nature. Strengthen your friendships with other youth and begin to explore the unique role you have within The United Methodist Church! One chaperone per six youth. Lunch and dinner provided.

Confirmation Weekend at Camp Wanake
February 21 - 23, 2025
Cost: $169 youth ($149 before February 3, 2025); $159 adults ($139 before February 3, 2025)
Bring your Confirmation class for the weekend to remember! Explore the United Methodist understanding of the sacraments, ways we talk about and experience God, how we can connect with God in prayer, and United Methodist heritage and organization (aka History & Polity). Our time for learning will be hands-on, engaging, and fun. One adult chaperone must be present for the weekend for every six youth of same gender as the chaperone.
