CAMPS AND RETREAT MINISTRIES
Both Camp Asbury and Camp Wanake annually offer Confirmation Retreats in February. The focus is on UM History & Beliefs, the Sacraments, and UM Structure. Participants have the opportunity to answer the question, “Where did the UMC get its start and what are they about?” The weekend includes making new friends, discovering great ways to grow closer to God through practicing spiritual disciplines, and being a part of a creative worship experience.
Watch in the fall – typically September or October - for the announcement of dates for the following February.
Confirmation Day at Camp Asbury
February 7, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $70/youth; $60/adults
Spend a full day at Camp Asbury diving deep into United Methodist teachings and exploring your faith! The day's curriculum will include introductory level sessions on topics including What United Methodists Believe; the Sacraments; the Layout of the UMC; Spiritual Disciplines; UM History; and Worship. Camp Asbury makes the perfect backdrop to connect our faith to the beautiful property around us. Some of our sessions will take us outdoors, connecting us with God's presence and sustaining love of creation. This one-day winter getaway will allow you to strengthen your friendships with other youth in the church and help you to start to understand the role you play in the UMC! Registration closes on January 16.

Confirmation Weekend at Camp Wanake
February 20 - 22, 2026
Cost: $169/youth; $159/adults. Register by February 3 and get early bird prices - $149/youth; $139/adults
Bring your Confirmation class for the weekend to remember! Explore the United Methodist understanding of the sacraments, ways we talk about and experience God, how we can connect with God in prayer, and United Methodist heritage and organization (aka History & Polity). Our time for learning will be hands-on, engaging, and fun. One adult chaperone must be present for the weekend for every six youth of same gender as the chaperone.
