DISASTER RESPONSE
Emotional & Spiritual Care workshops are offered occasionally by the conference, visit the EOC Missions Opportunities page to see if there’s a training currently scheduled.
Disaster Emotional and Spiritual Care Ministry provides an intentional focus on the emotional and spiritual needs of persons affected by disasters as well as any critical incident.
A critical incident can be defined as any event that has a stressful impact sufficient enough to overwhelm the usually effective coping skills of an individual. Critical incidents are abrupt and powerful events that fall outside the range of ordinary human experiences.
Every day we, our family, a neighbor, a member of our church, a friend or even a stranger will face a critical incident. This ministry of presence provides comfort during their distress.
