CLERGY WELL-BEING

Physical Well-Being

Physical Well-Being

Increasing your physical activity can make a big difference in your health, and can start as simply as taking a walk every day.

Resources

Silver Sneakers
To be eligible for the Silver Sneakers Fitness program, you must be: 65 or older, or eligible for a Medicare plan because of a disability, and living in the U.S.

Health Coaching
It is a confidential, phone-based program that is available to you generally at no cost. Whether you want to manage stress, eat healthier, quit smoking, or manage a chronic condition, coaching can help. The link above is for persons enrolled in Wespath. Check with your insurance, which may offer health coaching. Benefits include biometric screening, diabetes prevention and management, community-based diabetes prevention program reimbursement, EAP, counseling and support resources, Virgin Pulse, and Weight Watchers.

Quest Blueprint for Wellness
Knowing your biometric numbers provides a window into the state of your health. Quest Diagnostics Blueprint for Wellness biometric screening is a valuable tool for identifying health concerns and finding ways to improve your well-being. Testing involves one blood draw and a few measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, and waist circumference). More than 25 key indicators are measured, including blood glucose, cholesterol, and hemoglobin A1C. The link above is for Wespath, check with your insurance to see if they offer a wellness screening.

Health Check
The Health Check online health assessment is a great step toward preventing disease and improving well-being. This online tool is a fast and easy way to evaluate how personal health factors and lifestyle habits may raise your risk for serious conditions like heart disease or diabetes.
