Camps Operations and Programs Director

Ben Wilde is director of Camps Operations and Programs for the Camps & Retreat Ministries team of the Connectional Ministries office.

Most recently a member of the Camp Asbury maintenance staff, Wilde has more than 16 years of experience in the East Ohio Conference camping ministry. He has previously served as a counselor, assistant director and director at Camp Asbury.

“At camp, faith is something that comes out every day. Being part of the types of faith communities that form at the East Ohio Camps is a powerful and transformational experience that has shaped my life and molded me into the person I am today. Being a part of something bigger, such as God’s Creation, is comforting to me, and that’s easy to do here,” he said.

Wilde earned a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology from Mercyhurst University. He and his wife Olivia are the proud parents of young son. In his free time when he’s not with his family, Wilde can be found cheering on Cleveland’s professional sports teams, hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, or gardening.
