2026 Heartland Conference Climate Summit | October 3 in Marysville
The Heartland Conference invites you to join us for the 4th Annual Climate Action Summit, an ecumenical gathering of congregations passionate about protecting all God's Creation. Come for connection and support, leave feeling equipped and inspired for the urgent work of environmental advocacy, awareness, and action so all may flourish. This year's summit will focus on climate action through building community relationships. Climate Justice Ministries thrive when we Love Our Neighbors Out Loud. Keynote speakers include Mariellyn Grace, the Ohio Episcopal Area of The UMC director of Mission Engagement and her spouse, Rev. Ryan Grace. Registration and Details

Early Response Team (ERT) Training | October 10 in Columbus
The eight-hour basic class ERT training will teach you how to assist survivors of natural disasters in their time of need. You will learn how to provide a Christian presence while taking steps to prevent further damage to the family's personal property; this may include tarping, debris removal, cleaning out flooded homes, etc. FEMA recognizes this training to enter a disaster scene. Hosted by West Ohio UMC but open to all, see link for details and registration.
