CAMPS & RETREAT MINISTRIES

Camp Promotional Materials

We are excited and thankful that you are willing to promote Summer Camp in your local congregation. Included on this page are some items that will help you with your task. If you need more brochures or other materials, please call the camps office at (330) 499-3972 ext. 139 or ext. 120 and we will be glad to send more.

Have a Camp Sunday!
Choose a date convenient for your congregation. Canoes, sleeping bags, crafts, and other camping objects can be utilized to decorate the sanctuary. Use this as an opportunity to promote, encourage, and enlist the children and youth to take advantage of this great opportunity!

  • Camp Sunday Resources
  • Videos (Click link to view video or right click the link and "save as" to download to your computer.)
    • The Power of Camp Video
    • Summer Camp Video
    • Summer Camps Promo Video
  • Camp Presentation Script
  • Camp Talking Points

Display the 2025 Camp Materials!
Find a prominent place in your church to display the promotional materials provided from the camps office. Remind folks through announcements in worship, newsletters, and bulletins where materials can be found. Call us at (330) 499-3972, ext. 139 or ext. 120 and we will send you materials as you need.

Have a Fundraiser for Camperships!
Take special offerings throughout the year, have past campers create an Advent devotional to sell, hold a talent show/ice cream social, cook a special dinner, or hold some other special event in which the proceeds will go to help persons going to camp. For other ideas search “fundraising ideas” online.

Promote in your Newsletter, Bulletin, On Screen, or Lawn Signs!
Include announcements about camps in the newsletter, bulletin, or on screen before worship throughout the months leading up to summer camp. Include open house dates, reminders to get registered, and info on who to contact with questions.

  • Newsletter, Bulletin, Social Media, and On-Screen Announcements

Use These Bulletin Inserts!
Want another way to let the people in your church know about Summer Camp? Include the inserts linked below in your weekly Sunday bulletin to keep them up to date on what’s happening at camp.

  • Gift Certificates: Color | Black & White
  • Registration is Open: Color | Black & White
  • Early Bird: Color | Black & White
  • Open Houses: Color | Black & White
  • Invite a Friend: Color | Black & White

Have past campers get up and share
Invite former campers to stand up in front of the church or Sunday School class and tell their personal story relating what camp has meant for them. This is a great way to get those new campers excited about going to camp.

Pray for our Summer Camps Program!
Encourage your congregation to use the Brochure as a prayer list. Take time each day to pray for the campers, staff, camps, and the particular events in session.

Write to your campers
Campers always like to receive mail while at camp. Organize a letter writing activity that will allow campers to get a letter from your local church while at camp.

Follow up with your campers
Talk to your campers after they return from camp, asking them about their experiences. Give the campers a chance to share this with the whole church, asking them how those experiences affected their lives. Maybe even have a Camp Sunday at the end of summer to celebrate those who attended!

Attend an Open House
Each of our sites will be hosting an Open House where you can see the camp and ask questions about the program.

  • Camp Asbury | Sunday, April 13 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Camp Wanake | Saturday, April 26 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.
  • Camp Aldersgate | Sunday, May 4 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Open House Flyer

Summer Camp Jobs Available!

Camper Payment Log!
A copy of the camper payment log is available in the church packet that was mailed out. Please make copies and submit a payment log each time payment is made from your church. This way we can make sure that the proper campers get credit for payment.
